Coastal Flood Advisories have expired, only a Coastal Flood Statement remains for Virginia Beach, City of Norfolk, and City of Portsmouth in Southeast Mainland VA: NORFOLK/PORTSMOUTH-VIRGINIA BEACH- 459 AM EDT TUE OCT 8 2013 ...WATER LEVELS WILL APPROACH MINOR FLOODING THRESHOLDS LATE THIS MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON... * TIMING...WITHIN 1 TO 2 HOURS EITHER SIDE OF HIGH TIDE LATE THIS MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON. * TIDES...HIGH TIDE AT CHESAPEAKE BAY BRIDGE TUNNEL OCCURS AT 1105 AM EDT WITH A FORECAST WATER LEVEL OF 4.5 TO 4.8 FT MLLW. HIGH TIDE AT SEWELLS POINT OCCURS AT 1205 PM EDT WITH A FORECAST WATER LEVEL OF 4.3 TO 4.5 FT MLLW. THESE VALUES REPRESENT A TIDAL DEPARTURE AROUND 1.0 FT ABOVE NORMAL. * IMPACTS...MINOR FLOODING AT CHESAPEAKE BAY BRIDGE TUNNEL BEGINS AT 5.0 FT MLLW. MINOR FLOODING AT SWELLS POINT BEGINS AT 4.5 FT MLLW. Small Craft Advisories are in effect for much of the surrounding coastal and bayside waters. Bulletins to be posted later.
