Here is the recipe... Portuguese Kale Soup 2 lbs fresh or smoked chorizo sausage.. I use both 2 lbs beef short ribs or sirloin tips cut up in bite size chunks Big bunch of kale.. chopped up. You can use frozen as well One head of savoy cabbage.. chopped up 2 cans red kidney beans 4 cans beef broth One chopped onion 4 nice size potatoes cubed In large kettle, bring beef broth and 3 cups water to a boil..add meat and onion. Simmer about 2 hours.. take out sausage and cut into bite size chunks. Add cabbage, kale, and cook at least 20 minutes. Add the potatoes and kidney beans. Cook about 30 to 45 more minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.. I dont add salt as the beef broth has it in it as well as the sausage.
