I have been following this girlâs plight over the past few weeks and canât believe that this little dog is still being held. I understand guidelines have to be followed, but at the end of the day they are only guidelines which would also allow Ruby to be returned to her family while the case is pending. I am fully aware that Ruby and her little companion had escaped the family home and from what I have been told Ruby did nothing else wrong. I am imploring you to have a little compassion for this girl and her young family at this time as the little dog Ruby is greatly missed and has been a member of her family for the past seven years. There have been many other occasions where a dog had been taken by the wardens in your area and transferred to the pound, but unlike Ruby they have been returned to their owners shortly after. I understand Laura is fully aware of the Control of Dogs act and has openly admitted she is prepared to face the consequences for it. Normally this should not be the reason for holding onto Ruby as she has NOT given just cause to do so. The pound is a terrible place for anyone to picture their beloved pets waiting for their owners to come and collect them. In a lot of cases their owners never appear so please Ms Maguire find it in your heart to do the right thing and send Ruby home where she is very much missed and loved. Yours Hopeful
