Here is the update on what is going on in the life of this pony .. Star is having problems :( If you remember she has had swellings in her neck ( several months ) . The vet said to watch. Lin has increased her food because she is having weight loss issues ( yes she is on a worming regiment ) . She also has very old teeth ( pretty good shape , nothing to float as of a couple months ago ). One week ago she was holding one eye shut . Lin flushed it out with sterile saline and in an hour she looked fine .. 2 days later she started having a snotty nose off and on ( on that side ) . Lin called the vet and she told Lin to keep doing what she is doing . This is the same side the largest swelling is on her neck. In a nut shell she has snot one day but not the next .. Vet said it could be a plugged nasal lacrimal duct ( leading from the eye to the nose ). Often the eye will spill over tears and that is not the case .. Today the stuff coming out of her nose on one side smell like my feet when Im battling thrush . The vet will be here tomorrow to access her quality of life .. :( Lin just doesnt want to see her fall off to nothing over the winter months. While the vet is here she will check out the lesion on my neck .. Lin suspects some type of spider bite ( the tissue is hard and blackish around the lesion but it doesnt seem to bother me ) .. Pony sigh :(
