Here is what I have come to understand from conversations with my more conservative friends over the last couple days: 1) They have mostly developed the same talking points, so Im guessing they all watch the same TV shows, 2) Most of these talking points are actually wrong (my favorite: you cant pick your doctors...it works the same as normal insurance), 3) they think healthcare should be almost free because they have gotten health insurance from employer sponsored Group policies their whole life, and 4) they think it should continue to be low cost when you are not covered under an employer sponsored Group policy (but only for them, not for everyone else). These people fail to understand that if they decide to stop suckling on the corporate welfare system in a pre-AFA world, they 1) would likely be denied coverage for any health problems that are known, and 2) woudnt be able to afford anything but catastrophic care even if they didnt have a pre-existing condition (I know there are some of you that have variances, but this is true for the vast majority of people). It would be nice if people would learn how to read and make informed decisions. Now, lets all fight about it!!!
