Here is what any non profit has to file with the IRS every year, - TopicsExpress

Here is what any non profit has to file with the IRS every year, or earlier. It is IRS form 990, which gives all the financials of an organization such as ALSA. It is public information. Im not a CPA, but my first impression is that lots of loot is going for overhead (several 6 figure salaries, (I could only dream of) executive bonuses, advertising, education, (subjective expenses) and not as much going to research as I would like to see. (Looks like another company ran to make a few rich if you ask me. What I would like to see is break down of the grants supposedly going to research, and exactly who it is going to, etc. Not sure if this report contains it. Any CPAs what to take a crack at this and put it in simple english? alsa.org/assets/pdfs/form-20990-20-20f2014-20irs-20sgd-2006-11-2014.pdf
