Here is why we should raise the minimum wage in as few words as possible: The economy is driven by the middle class (fact), the stuff we buy - food, cars, clothing, and electronics (to name a few). If minimum wage workers are paid more they will buy more stuff therefore boosting the economy. In turn their employers will have a higher demand for their stuff and have more sales offsetting any gaps from the higher wages. Higher minimum wages will also bring some people out the poverty bracket, so less government dependence (which will save on taxes).
