Here is your Cosmic Calendar for the 17 August 2014. If you like roller-coaster rides, then you will probably enjoy what the universe has in store for humanity over the next 72 hours. To keep a large percentage of our species on an even keel and potentially happy-go-lucky, positive celestial seasonings occur throughout the day as Mercury forms a supportive, 60-degree tie to productivity-enhancer Ceres (2:03AM), the Sun makes an inspirational, 72-degree liaison with investment-savvy Vesta (8:31PM), and — drum roll please — Venus manages to form its superb and highly opportunistic, annual union with Jupiter (10:22PM), this year at 8 degrees of Leo. However, going against these favorable vibrations are the cosmic contingent of a jarring Last Quarter Sun-Moon Phase (activating 25 degrees of Leo and Taurus at 5:27AM), Venus making an off-kilter, 150-degree tie with Neptune (8:09M) followed by a 90-degree square to Vesta (8:17PM). Plus, the Last Quarter Sun-Moon Phase also starts a void lunar uncertainty zone that continues until 3:42PM when multi-faceted Gemini Moon begins in earnest. There are certainly contradictory impulses at play tonight since Venus is at odds with Vesta while the Sun maintains a support system with this key asteroid.
