Hyaline cartilage Rationale: • Hyaline cartilage has only type II collagen, the most abundant cartilage in humans and is in most joints, the ribs and the throat (larynx trachea and bronchi) • Fibrocartilage cartilage has type I AND II collagen. It is found in the TMJ, pelvis, and intervertebral discs. • Elastic cartilage has only type 2 collagen. It is found in the outer ear, larynx and epiglottis.
