Here is your midday update from Burke weather: Currently we see mostly sunny skies and with a SW wind our temps have soared into the upper 80s. Morganton 89 F, Marion 88 F, Lenoir 89 F, and Hickory 87 F. This afternoon looks like it may take a little longer for storms to develop. The supercell composite is elevated so we will have to watch that late this afternoon. Some of the short range models are hinting at a MCS developing and moving through the area from the NW around the early morning hours. Again we will have to watch and see how this all plays out.
