Here is your week ahead: Outlook: A breezy week ahead Showery or longer spells of rain bringing a risk of heavy possible thundery conditions. Drying up towards the end of the week. Feeling fresher and becoming cooler towards the end of the week. So no heat wave insight but temperatures around average for August. Here is the details: Monday: Sunshine and showers. Some will be heavy possible thundery but moving through quickly on a keen W-SW and gusty on southern coasts. Winds will be gusting up to 40mph less for inland areas. Top temperature of 21 degrees. Tuesday: Another day of sunny spells and showers or at times longer spells of rain with a risk of thunder. Winds still with us gusting to around 20 to 25mph from a westerly direction. Top temperature of 19 degrees Wednesday: A dry start but scattered showers will develop but less widespread compared to Monday and Tuesday. Winds will be from a NW direction gusting to around 17mph Top temperature of 17 degrees. Thursday: Winds from a W-NW direction and lighter at around 11mph. A good deal of dry sunny spells to start with however we could see some really heavy showers develop and merge for a time. Top temperature of 15 possible 16 degrees. Friday: Winds still from a NW and around 15mph which brings a risk of a well scattered sharp shower but unlucky of caught by one. Top temperature of 16 degrees. Thanks very much Dean.
