Here it is. Heres how I really feel about the new CASL Law. The CASL legislation is a game-changer for small business vote. After training over 30 thousand small businesses in Canada and the USA, its clear to me that this piece of legislation is hugely crippling, and is nothing short of an overbearing cruel tax on small business in Canada, giving the USA free unfair advantage to compete while CASL takes the wind out of Canadian SALES! Will the government measure the economic impact CASL has on small business? This is a piece of legislation that is currently having measurable impacts on small business and non-for-profits. Im 46 years old, my husband is 52 this year, and we founded the 1st digital marketing training company in Canada about 8 years ago. Our small business has created jobs. However, to succeed, we needed automation. Like so many small businesses, we invested thousands to build our leads and create automated systems to communicate and sell. However , the new CASL legislation is sure fire threat to the survival of small business. CASL allows our international counterparts to grin with a wide smile while they watch CASL implode the legitimate marketing systems and processes of small business in Canada. CASL is an unprecedented blow to small business. It clearly imposes on our right to fairly compete in the marketplace. The unreasonable burden this imposes on small business, combined with the threat of frivolous and expensive lawsuits most small business owners cant defend, this is truly the heaviest PENALTY TAX on small business owners ever. I have no issue with compliance. Guidelines can support good marketing practices. Clearly, this piece of legislation needs to go back to the drawing table. What are your thoughts?
