Here it is my first birthday after losing my dad. A conversation with some of my video game website friends somehow morphed totally off-topic into a discussion about wrestling which reminded me how my dad spontaneously took me and my best friend Michael DuPont to see WWF wrestling at the Boston Garden as a birthday present. I never knew him to like wrestling or attending any kind of sports event but he took us out of the blue. After wrestling back and forth about who was on the show card that night (pardon the pun), we figured out it was the October 12th 1985 show and the card was: King Kong Bundy vs Hulk Hogan (title match) British Bulldogs vs Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake (title match) King Tonga vs Mr. X Randy Savage vs Scott McGhee Rene Goulet vs Cpl. Kirschner Barry Windham and SD Jones vs. Barry O and Iron Mike Sharpe Paul Orndorff vs Missing Link Tiger Chung Lee vs David Sammartino Terry Funk vs Junkyard Dog Mike found the actual title match on YouTube between Hulk Hogan and King Kong Bundy which was the match I was dying to see that night! I was a HUGE Hulk Hogan fan. Watching the video myself, I couldnt help thinking - were up there somewhere. Up there in the crowd. My dad, my best friend, and I.
