Here it is, the Wedding Cake of the soon-to-be Mr & Mrs Gordon Walker! It turned out so much better than I could have imagined. As is with all cakes that I make for my niece, something bad happens....and this cake was no exception. A few months back I purchased a gorgeous stencil from Evil Cake Genius It would have been perfect for this cake. But, somehow it was thrown out in the recycle (well something like that) because I can not find it anywhere. I only discovered it missing late last week, so I had no way of getting another send from the United States in time. My design had to take a sharp about face. Because the theme of the wedding is hessian, lace, wood, ivory and black, I quickly changed it to this new design. The flowers and the bottom tier are from the original design, but the middle double barrel and top tier are from my new design. And luckily for me, I love it....And secretly a little happy that the stencil went missing.
