Here we are - patiently waiting for spring/summer weather so we can plant the garden, do the spring stuff on the outside of the house, go to the lake, finish the last round of chemo, and start the "recuperation" round. The literature says I should start feeling better a week after that. I am looking forward to it. But, as one would expect with cancer, there can always be a downside. In this case I will not have long to enjoy that feeling. We met with the oncological surgeon this week and we have a plan. I am being scheduled for surgery. The surgery will involve removal of one lobe of my liver. If all goes well with that, she will try to reach the cancer on the left side of the colon where it resurfaced. This surgery is a little more delicate than the colon surgery last year because of the major arteries involved. But the surgeon is very experienced with this type of procedure and we feel very confident in her. I will keep you posted.
