Here we are laying out the last of the 2012 flax to dew ret (rot the straw a bit) in a field at SHAS (Saanich Historical Artifact Society). I like it spread out so were not tangling up flax straw in the coming days of flipping it over to ret the other side. Also we are lucky enough to have a big field - mowed (thanks Dave). We will probably flip the flax over next Saturday. Was a fun day with lots of chatter while we caught up on what were all doing. Brenda, Nancy, Beatrice, Rita, Liz and me and we all went out for lunch after.
