Here we go! Just got off of a long PM with someone who, when I told them of my anger over the terrible way Mr. Kucher lost his life...I was told I need to calm down and try to perhaps try to understand why this young man did what he did!! WHAT???? Are you kidding me?? Am I supposed to show compassion for a punk-ass kid who took the husband, father, grandfather away from his family with no regard for his life or theirs? Are we getting so stupid that we always have to consider the feelings of the CRIMINALS? For What? Im sorry if I am about to lose friends on here but I have always believed that if you commit a crime against your fellow man, you should be punished and LOSE any rights you enjoyed as a free member of society. Too many people commit crimes because today we show no REAL punishment..its all a slap on the hand! How about an eye for an eye? You take a life, we take yours....perhaps they might think twice if they truly believed there would be real consequences for their actions. NO! Instead they go to jail, we pay for them to eat, drink, watch TV, play in a courtyard, study books, read magazines and wait out their time...BULL! I am soooo tired of all of this. I can only hope that after a respectful funeral for our friend Mr. Kucher that Port Jervis begins to show some outrage and demand to start seeing some REAL changes in the city and I am not talking about new fronts to old buildings or cleaning up a park...I mean getting rid of more and more of the scum that is slowly taking over the Pretty Little City by the River. I have had so many tell me that I need to see how much better Port Jervis is getting...You know I see the cosmetics of what is getting better...cleaner but until the RIFF RAFF is chased out....(and we know how that is done) ...we will continue to lose everything that is precious....lie the lives of dear friends who once contributed so much to the community...unlike the little bastard to committed this crime to the Kucher family and ultimately to all of the families in the area. Show some balls and show some real outrage....Can you tell...I am pissed? Well, I hope you all are and that some idiot like the one I just finished with doesnt tell you to just calm down and forget about this in a few days. Its tragic loss that never should have happened but I dont know of too many who grew up in the Tri-State Area all those years ago who can honestly tell me face-to-face that things havent gotten worse or that they feel 100% walking through the city at night alone or that they TRULY believe they are still living in Good Ol Port Jervis of yesteryear. I am sad but man am I angry right now! My prayers go out to the Kucher family and I pray they do more than slap this evil young punk on the wrist. -Rich Wilson.
