Here we go again.....Im up all hours of the night because of the Stiff Person Syndrome. I have an 8 year old duck who lives with the chickens. Triskey has no idea that he isnt a chicken; actually I think he thinks hes a guard dog. He watches our property day and night and if anything or one comes he sounds a very special quack. I have so much fatigue these days that walking through the house does me in, but if my Triskey sounds his alarm then I come running. Darn, ANOTHER skunk, but he tripped the trap and squeezed out (its really is hard to tell...from a safe distant how big those fluffy rodents are). I got into the chicken house to find Camille, our 14 yr. old chicken (I think she has early Alzheimers). She was so frightened she was in the corner with her head caught between the wires. After I got her in the house for a safe nights sleep, Im just moving in the darkness I hear this crunching in the brush. In the past we lost our 2 goats to a cougar, so Im wondering if I can slide into the hot tub before it makes it across to me our use the crocket stick on him. Hmmm, now as I think of it neither were my best ideas. But Thankfully, all that came out of the brush 2 very big nutrias. ......Tonight Camille is in the house, the doors are latched and Im sleeping with ear plus :0)
