Here we go again, another injection well planned for Michigan to accept the brine (aka radioactive, toxic oil and gas wastes) this time in Summerfield Township in Monroe County. In Monroe County, EPA seeks comments on another class II injection well. Michigan will become invasion of the class II injection wells for the frack industry. Read the draft permit (summary attached) and send a copy of your comments to the group Ban Michigan Fracking at [email protected]. Monroe county, dont let your county become a frack waste capitol! Our ballot initiative would prevent the dumping of such wastes. From the Summerfield Township facebook page: Summerfield Township has just been made aware that the EPA plans to allow Trendwell Energy Co. to inject waste fluid underground in our township by approving the companys application for what EPA calls a Class II injection well permit. As residents of Summerfield, YOU have the right to give the EPA feedback on this topic. Please see the attached letter for more information and note the deadline of January 21st, 2015.
