Here we go again folks....another post about an excited, FIRST - TopicsExpress

Here we go again folks....another post about an excited, FIRST TIME hunter who LEGALLY and ETHICALLY harvests a small deer, and what do I see in the comments? I spend over 15 minutes editing out comments that could CRUSH a childs desire to ever hunter again, or if he did, to ever share his joy or success with others. Who would I be to judge anothers success, what gives me that right? Answer: I have NO right to criticize someone else for taking an animal LEGALLY AND ETHICALLY...and heres the kicker...NEITHER DO YOU! Bonebrothers Outdoors has always been, and will ALWAYS be a POSITIVE, UPLIFTING, and SUPPORTIVE venue for ALL hunters, young, old, new, or experienced to share their success and have POSITIVE AND ENCOURAGING comments - ESPECIALLY FOR KIDS!!!! If you cant find a positive thing to say about a post, then follow mammas advice If you cant say something nice, dont say anything at all! Now, in the post that prompted this sermon, I happen to know the gentleman whos child was pictured, so let me enlighten you to the situation: (1) Thats his step-son. He never HAD to be dad, but he CHOSE to be dad! He refers to the child as SON, not step-son. He has taught this child the ways of life through the outdoors, and took on a responsibility head on, that hes supposed to, but many choose not to do. (2) This REAL FATHER, taught his son PATIENCE, HARD WORK, RESPECT FOR THE GAME, SHOT PLACEMENT, ETHICS, and a LOVE OF THE OUTDOORS all at the same time! Not to mention that this boy has missed his first 2 deer in his first season hunting, and FINALLY connects, just to have other judge him. Shameful!! Now, some may say, Josh is just sticking up for his friend..., blah blah blah. Wrong! I have posted this type of banter before, and Ill post it again, friend or stranger!! We are HUNTERS, and SPORTSMANSHIP should cover the gauntlet of the whole outdoor experience. We should ALL be bound together by our common love of the outdoors, and be excited and happy for anyone, ESPECIALLY a child, who has come into our fold! We are a family, love each other, encourage each other, SUPPORT EACH OTHER. Otherwise, those who wish to see us fail and to strip us of our RIGHT to this tradition, will succeed. Now, I hope each of you have a SAFE and productive week, and I love each and every one of you, and thank you for being a part of Bonebrothers! Yall be good, be safe, and well see you in the outdoors!! {Josh}
