Heres a Saturday morning dose of irony for Missouri voters for you. Missouri Farmers Care is currently airing tv commercials that claim that passage of A1 will ensure the right to farm for Missouris family farmers, on a par with the rights to free speech, religion, & ownership of guns. Yet at this Missouri county fair, the right of free speech of opponents of A1 was violated. Dont speak unless spoken to is not free speech. Does this make ANY sense?!? Why are the proponents of A1 afraid of the opponents voicing their side of the debate on this vaguely worded amendment in public? Intimidation, shadowing & unauthorized picture/video taking, strong arm tactics including the arrest of 1 for trespass where she had been told she could be -- Big Ag is in action here, not the kind of family farmers I know. Please share & vote NO on 1 -- if this doesnt tell you something is wrong with A1, I dont know what will. Any fair Ive been to has had both sides of political parties & issues there, handing out literature & talking to the people, the citizens, who will be voting. Apparently free speech isnt allowed at the county fair in Missouri any more. Not if Big Ag is around & involved. Please vote no.
