Heres a blast from the past. In the mid to late 1990s, I flew my little Piper Cherokee 235 to Bostons Logan International Airport with a couple of my co-workers from Friendly Ice Cream Corp to attend a Digital Equipment Corporation event. After landing at Logan and paying the then $75 landing fee, we took the water shuttle over to Boston for the event. This was the gift that we got from Digital for attending. I think perhaps Paul Brozek and / or Brad Littrell may have been with me? Or Kevin Fay? Or Duncan Bradbury? I can still remember the controller in the tower at Logan asking me to keep up all possible airspeed until reaching the runway. At 120 knots full speed, I was about 100 knots slower than the jumbo jets making s-turns behind me in the approach pattern to avoid running us over, LOL.
