Heres a fishing report from Lake Links that I found. FISHING REPORT 3/16/14 1:20 AM CST Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 31° - 35° F Well it was an interesting day.... Fishing was slow saw a few fish caught. The highlight was watching a guy fly down the center of the river and beach himself on the rock bar. He was stuck, fired the motor back up and could not get off it. 10 minutes later the siren was going off in Nekoosa, 15 minutes after that the Fire Department showed up. They couldnt even get close to them so they went and got the wet suits. They got out of their boat 60 yards away from him and walked in ankle high water. They finally got him to deeper water. Needless to say after those guys were beached like a whale for over an hour they headed back to the landing. The night cap was watching the boat that anchored right in the middle of my drift go full bore right onto a huge ice sheet as they were heading back up river. They were in a John boat and ended up completely on top of the ice when there motor finally hit the sheet it went flying in the air. In order to get off of it one guy was actually standing on the sheet trying to push the boat off... You cant even make this kinda stuff up. The run is a ways off, the river wars even open down towards Chesters.
