Heres a gentleman by the name of Michael A. Price thats in the Boxing Traffik 101 page that just cracked the code to the whole Mayweather vs. Pacquaio fiasco and heres the real truth to everything, nothing but facts!! Michael A. Price--- .1) first negotiation end of 2009/2010. if youve ever been in business negotiations (ive been in more than I care to remember), the first rule is dont give up leverage by letting the other party dictate the terms. Pac had the leverage, floyd didnt and floyd was trying to dictate the terms of the special testing outside of the NV commission testing. Pacs issue was that he didnt want to give blood too close to the fight due to what happened in the first Morales fight (research that). Allowing floyd to dictate wouldve given floyd leverage and the mental edge. Pac ALWAYS agreed to blood test immediately after the fight and urine test anytime. Pac did compromise to 21 days before the fight blood test which the mediator brought in, testing experts, and ODLH/GBP ALL AGREED that with blood test after fight and urine anytime was sufficient to catch anything in pacs system on fight night and was urging floyd to take the fight but floyd said no insisting on 14 days trying to dictate his terms and the negotiations broke off. What Roach said is taken out of context by Floyd fans. Roach felt they shouldve gave up leverage and did what Floyd wanted (thinking of his big possible payday) but Roach doesnt make the decisions.
