Heres a hypothetical: Assume for a moment that, in terms of physical health, the boys have another 10 years of recording and touring left in them, but also assume Geddy will no longer be able to effectively sing anything older than, say, 1990 material (and if were honest, that day is quickly approaching). They would have several options. 1) Retire 2) Continue recording and performing new material, and only include post-1990 songs in the setlist 3) Same as number 2, but bring in a guest vocalist to sing older material, freeing them to perform really early material. Lisa Dal Bello, anyone? 4) Same as number 3, but tune way down (at least a major third) to allow Geddy to sing older material. Which would be your preference? Or suggest another alternative.
