Heres a little background on myself: My Mother and Father were born and brought up in Srinagar, Kashmir. My father studied at Tyndale-Biscoe School and Madras University Medical School. He did his residency in London, England before moving to Kansas City, USA. I was born and raised in Kansas City and played all sports during my youth. In the neighborhood where I grew up, the young people would play street football or traditional field football. I attended Grandview MO High School and played for Coach Sam Brown. The current Quarterback of the NFL Minnesota Vikings, Josh Freeman, also attended my school. Due to the violent nature of football, and my smaller physical stature at the time, my mother forbade me from continuing to play tackle football, so I took up Basketball, Baseball, Tennis, Soccer, Wrestling, etc.... However, I still would play weekend Football with my friends, especially during the winter months. Ive attended training camp with The Kansas City Chiefs as an observer. I also excelled in MFL, Muslim Football League, which was a flag football league in my community. Since 2009, I came to Kashmir and Delhi to play Basketball. I also did numerous Coaching clinics. Because of my American Citizenship, I was declared ineligible to play Basketball for J&K or Indian National team under current rules. In June 2014, Ill be organizing a Football Camp and Tournament in Srinagar, Kashmir where I will teach rules, point system, offensive and defensive strategies. There will also be prizes for outstanding players. Sarib Qazi, the first professional Kashmiri football player, will be in attendance as well, if his schedule with the EFLI Delhi Defenders permits. As per my knowledge, it will be the first Gridiron Football camp and Tournament in Kashmir Sports History.
