Heres a little trick for anyone with a puppy who is upset when left alone and rips stuff up or howls through the night...put a piece of clothing youve been wearing on the top half of your body (jumper, t-shirt etc) and leave it on the opposite side of the door of the room where the puppy is, lying across the bottom of the door like a draught excluder. ...when you go out/go to bed, the pup will sniff under the door to see are you gone but will smell your scent off the piece of clothing and be comforted.
