Heres a message to all the Green voters out there. Before you embark on your We must save the Earth campaign, Id invite you to take a trip down to Tassie to see exactly what a Greens/Labour alliance actually does to a state. Over half of the state either restricted access or locked up completely, almost no camping along the east coast foreshore. (Not everybody wants to stay in caravan parks), signs everywhere saying no campingor road closed, no access to Jettys, they are all locked up. What for? Every second house in almost every little town is for sale! Theres no work, therefore no money, welfare is huge here. Most people I speak to here all agree that there needs to be balance, you cant just close up these places. The people simply dont come. Getting off the grid & doing some fishing & 4wd stuff in some of the best country in Australia is difficult due to national parks, conservation areas & World heritage areas. Im all for looking after the bush but gees, this is nuts! Even farmers are being shut out. Some in power need to get their heads out of fairy land & realise that its all warm & fuzzy to say World heritage area but that dont make money! Otherwise Tasmania will soon be Australias version of Bali! No tourist = no money!
