Heres a question for Melissa Lee and Cassandra Tuttman (and anyone - TopicsExpress

Heres a question for Melissa Lee and Cassandra Tuttman (and anyone else, but mainly them, because biology). So, there has been a mouse in my house. In retrospect, I saw it out of the corner of my eye, twice, about a month ago. Then, suddenly, Thursday night it starting carousing all around the place constantly. I heard it disturbing papers and plastic bags, saw it climb over a food package, heard it pattering behind the cabinets, and discovered it several times inside the kitchen garbage bag (into which it had chewed its way). This continued through Saturday. Finally, Sunday morning I set two traps (and took the garbage out). They didnt catch the mouse, but the level of activity dropped off dramatically. I am almost certain its still here, because Im hearing much briefer, more widely spaced rustlings of things. My best guess is that the mouse just really, really liked something I had in the kitchen and/or threw out. But is there anything that would cause a hyperactive episode in a mouse? Also, any recommendations on traps? I used d-CON no view, no touch traps.
