Heres a short video from this past weekends clinic. This was one of the horses with trailer loading worries. (This is my first attempt at loading a video to Facebook. Lets hope it works.) Also, heres a very sweet e-mail Brent got from the lady youll see in this video: Just wanted to thank you for all of your instruction and encouragement this past weekend. This was a real pivotal point for Cabot and I, after the challenges we had over the summer months. I was initially a bit overwhelmed physically, cognitively and emotionally, but I am so glad Laurie had encouraged us to attend.. Both Cabot and I had a great time.. It was so obvious. Smiles ear to ear for human and horse And that is where a partnership begins, horse and rider enjoying each others company.. I started out a little skeptical about the use of the rope halter/lead. Well heck by the end of the weekend, when I put Cabot back into his leather halter and heavy lead, it was obvious, the line of communication went dead…Hello! I have already signed up for your visit next year. I had become a bit of a skeptic having trusted so many professionals to “help” me find the way to connect with my horse.. I had thought that Cabot was a good boy, which is why I bought him less than a year ago , but a few less than stellar moments gave me pause and eroded my confidence.. Spending the weekend together with him and participating in your clinic reestablished my original gut feelings that Cabot was indeed a stand up kind of guy , albeit very young, that I could enjoy building a long-term partnership with for years to come.. I loved the fact that you could focus on each of the participants , recognizing their strengths and weaknesses to bring them to a new level…So often it becomes a one stop fix all approach , not so with you.. I showed my husband the “Two trailer video” that you so graciously allowed Laurie to share with me . Now Jack is not a horse person, but he is sensitive enough to see how connected and willing Cabot was to load and unload. His comment…” COOL!” thanks so much Brent.. We look forward to working with you again next year.
