Heres a very nice Nick Lucas style Kay Kraft style B guitar for sale. I originally bought this guitar from Neil Harpe at Stella Guitars many years ago and have held on to it all these years because it sounded so good and played well too. During the years Ive had several Oahu Nick Lucas style guitars but have always kept this one because it didnt sound as harsh as the Oahus . In fact, for a maple guitar this one is very pleasant to listen to. The sound is clear and strong with plenty of sustain. Theres plenty of bass too for a smaller bodied guitar. The trebs are sparkly without being thin or electric sounding. It also has a very nice bark when strummed hard and a nice ring when strumming in general. The sound is also very dry and vintage sounding. To sum it up, its a great sounding guitar. Its also very cool looking. It has a laminated maple back that is just beautiful. The finish actually makes the maple glow. Its quites stunning. The sides are shaded along with the top and back. They also are gorgeous to look at. Other features include the plastic mother of toilet seat headstock, diamond (?) fretboard position inlays, unique pickguard, beautifully shaped original bridge. multi ply body binding. The nut width is slightly larger than 1 3/4 and measures 2 1/4 at the bridge. The scale length is 25 3/4 but it frets pretty darn easy for such a long scale. The action is very nice and the neck itself is not super hefty. Its more shallow making this guitar much more user friendly than the Oahus Ive played. This is an X braced guitar with small maple bridgeplate. Im sure the bracing is original but Im not sure if the plate is. There is also a 4 crack on the treble side which is professionally closed and sealed tight. The tuners are nice replacement tuners. Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure- s411.photobucket/user/Smeckman/library/Kay%20Kraft%201?sort=3&page=1 It comes with a very nice hardshell case. Im asking $2,250 for this one plus $80 to ship CONUS. Please let me know if you need any more info. Thanks!
