Heres a video of me leading a chant in a marcha from King and Story to Ocala and King, where I grew up. We were marching against Prop. 6, a proposition targeting youth and their families deemed as gang members. I through on my Dobbs brim, stacys and my Huelga Bird flag on my leftside. The same flag I used to gang bang in and mob down King and Story and the strip during 5 de Mayo cruises before I was politicized. I was maybe a year or 2 sober, and working as a manager even with my criminal record. Thats why I had the tie and slacks on. During our No On Prop 6 campaign with De Bug, we had several marchas and we even had a free concert with Davina. Felipe de Newark, Califaz had the plug. I started writing for Street Low Magazine and wrote about it. After doing tiempo for being political prisoner and a violation, I changed direction dramaticly, I had to be an activist full time. It was all I knew. Then thee Souleros Ball. It seemed GOD had to prepare for what ever plan he laid out for me, I learned to organize and lead, behind the walls, and in community organization. It was de aquellas! Before all this I was under the street lamp, just a wino chicano from Pensacola. -The H/M
