Heres a video of some Book Report drum beats I came up with in the practice room. I was teaching the Book Report hybrid rudiment to a student, when it dawned on me that you could create a pretty mean sounding drum beat with this pattern. Many drummers are familiar with the idea of using paradiddles to play drum beats (ie. playing the paradiddle sticking pattern between the snare and hi hats). As this rudiment is loosely based on a paradiddle, the same principal can be applied! The bass drum follows the same pattern as the right hand!
