Heres an update on my Great nephew Peyton....my clever sister wrote it last night...I just saw it. Thank you for your continued prayers! Peyton is doing much better. He got his pic line this afternoon, and everything went well. He was sleeping when I left. Hes still pretty exhausted. He is on regular iv infusions and has a bad case of RSV... a highly contagious cold-like virus... which most kids get and have no problems, but for kids with cystic fibrosis it can be very dangerous. So at least we know what it was/is. Now were all getting sick with it, so well see how that goes. The hospital staff all wear masks and gowns when they come in... the gowns and masks are yellow... Peyton has a serious aversion to the yellow people. The plan is to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks, but the primary CF doctor said he is responding so well, it might be shortened! YAY! For now, I am babysitting our grand-dog... a demanding little dachsund, named Oden. Hes really not much trouble, pretty good little guy... just missing his family. I did get annoyed this evening when he ate my chinese food in the back seat of my car. Apparently he likes chicken and vegetables. THEN he had the gall to beg while I ate what was left! The nerve! Its really my own fault... I have childproofed everything, but forgot to ODEN proof everything... which means, put the garbage can on the counter - pick up ANYTHING that might have any food of any kind dead or alive, new or old - put away all the cat food - put the cats bowls up where he cant reach them - close the door to the kitty roca box. BUT I TOTALLY SPACED protecting my take out chinese food dinner! Live and learn. Thank you for all the prayers for Peyton.. He is still in the hospital and still needs prayer, but I know your prayers helped. Blessings to all of you.
