Heres just one of the great things about Capitalism: I just hired cooks to prepare me a delicious and healthy breakfast (500 cals, 20 grams of protein, 20 grams of carbs). I hired a farmer to cultivate oats which I consumed as oatmeal, another farmer harvested fruit for me to go in my oatmeal and yet another raised the chickens for my egg white delight sandwich. Additionally I feel good about the fact I employed drivers to bring these ingredients to this bright air conditioned and rather well appointed restaurant for no extra charge to me. All of this activity and all of these people helping me for the low cost of $5.50. to count all the jobs and economic activity that were employed to make my breakfast is truly remarkable. I love capitalism! Oh, and McDonalds is a public company so I just contributed to pensions and 401(k)s as well. Busy morning...
