Heres mostly a train fans photo, but its such a beautiful shot. This is Wrights, or Wrights Station, right near the enormous summit tunnel that crossed from the photos location south through the summit ridge towards Felton. This is not too far soth-east (I think) from where Hwy 17 crosses the summit today... one of our ghost towns that more or less died along with the railroad. I love to imagine that active little town up there in the mountains, with all the picnickers and local fruit growers and such... so nice to get a little view into what was certainly a big part of these folks lives for a while, before it vanished.
