Heres my take in DeSean Jacksons release, based solely in my news feed and the NJ article: You dont, and let me repeat this again, DONT, release a pro bowl WR unless something fishy has been going on for a while. According to the article, there was a murder in a building in his name. He signed a guy to a record deal, who then proceeded to shoot a 14 year old in the face. He has had a pattern of mischievous behavior. It was time to cut bait before the Eagles potentially were thrown into an Aaron Hernandez situation. As for Riley Coopers name being brought up: up until he dropped the N word, his image was sneaky clean. No, it doesnt make it right to drop the N bomb. Yes, he probably should have been suspended for it. Alas, when you bring up Cooper in the DeSean situation, dont forget to include Mike Vick, who spent time in a federal prison. That card works both ways. Either way, Vick learned the hard way, and has since been a model citizen as well as a good man. DeSean shouldve gotten his shit together the moment the cops started sniffing around not once, but twice, during a murder investigation. He didnt. So thats on DeSean Jackson, not the Philadelphia Eagles.
