Heres our little 50 cents-worth, true family story, just told me by my husband. As he was waiting tonight for his order-to-go w/ our 2 youngest kids in the entry hall of a Chinese restaurant, our 12-yrs old son, eyeing the 3 candy machines nearby asked him for a quarter. After digging in his pocket, dad found him a quarter so off goes the boy, straight for the candy machines. Seeing this, our 9-yrs. old daughter Nina asks if she may have a quarter, too. There happened to be another quarter in dads pocket, so off she goes, passing by her brother, still busy at the candy machine and puts it into the nearby collection box for the little girl ill w/leukemia, whose name also happens to be: Nina. On the way back from the candy machine my son, now loaded w/candy notices this and as he sits down his head hangs really low. Dad, I feel so bad... There is hope.
