Heres some answers to some questions that are being asked: Q. How much does this event cost? A. $25 for the ticket or $40 for the ticket plus round trip Party Bus transportation from Downtown Seattle. If you have your XL Pass, the transportation plus Wild Waves ticket is free. Q. What should I bring? A. A change of clothes, a towel, and money for a locker should you want to use it. If you think youll get hungry, bring money for lunch while in the park. Food is fairly expensive, so plan to bring $15-$20 for lunch and a drink. Small Locker: $9 + $5 refundable key deposit = $14 Large Locker: $12 + $5 refundable key deposit = $17 Family Locker: $16 + $5 refundable key deposit = $21 Q. Is there transportation provided to this event? A. Yes! For an additional $15, you can ride the XL Party Bus leaving from the Executive Hotel Pacific starting at 9:30AM. Subsequent trips will leave at 10:30AM and 11:30AM. Return trips start are scheduled for 5PM, 6PM, and 7PM. So if you were on the 9:30AM outbound, youll need to be on the 5PM inbound. If you were on the 10:30AM outbound, youll be on the 6PM coming back. If you were on the 11:30AM, youll be on the 7PM return trip to make sure everyone gets the same time in the park. Because of bus capacity considerations, you cannot miss your returning bus and stay longer to take the second bus. We have to have you on your original returning bus, otherwise if the last bus is full and you were scheduled for the first bus, we cannot let you on for safety reasons and youll need to take public transportation or a taxi back at your expense. Q. Can I stay at Wild Waves longer? A. If you want to secure your own transportation back, you do not need to use the XL Bus to come back with the group, but your return transportation is up to you. You will need to pay the parking fees at Wild Waves, so carpooling is encouraged. Q. How can I pay? A. If I pay for the $40 ticket, how will I know what bus Im on? A. An XL Weekend coordinator will email you and give you a boarding time. Its important that you make that boarding time because the buses will be full. Q. I see a bear group is organizing this, can I come if Im not a bear? A. YES! XL Weekend was created for bears, cubs, otters, wolves, pigs, and all the other gay wildlife, along with chubs, chasers, and generally everyone that doesnt fit the gay ideal for fun and acceptance. However, XL is extremely inclusive, and we want you to come along if youd like to have fun with us, whether youre a bear, into bears, or just want to have fun with a bunch of bears.
