She went on to say that there are many of perks living in the White House such as having a chef and traveling all over the world all of the time. For relaxation, she would sit on the couch in her living area and read a book snuggled up with her cat. Surprisingly, she stated that just because the President is paid a generous salary, that the First Lady doesn’t deserve a salary just because of her title. President Obama has spoken in the past, about Michelle Obama not getting paid and how hard and busy that she works all the time. He says that being a First Lady is a tough job for his wife and feels that there should be a form of compensation for her.
