Heres the Trews that Im keen to discuss. I have no idea whatsoever why Alec Baldwin is in the mix, but Stacey Herbert and her old man Max Keiser have a very good finance news show on RT (yes, Russia Today, the news broadcaster of our sworn enemy, the Russians). In this episode of the Trews, the four of them discuss climate change and the end of cheap oil. Its kind of terrifying. To counteract that, Im also reading Naomi Kleins This Changes Everything, because even though Klein writes about really terrifying stuff, she manages to do so in a way that conveys hope. Main take-home message from this broadcast: Within 15 years, well all be growing our own food. Have a think about it — but not in a thats so awful Im going back to bed way. More in a thats bad so what am I going to do about it way. Ill let you know what Klein suggests.
