Heres the climate poker bluff: fossil fuel companies warn of the dangers of climate change even as they seek to exploit massive reserves of coal, oil and gas. The net worth of fossil fuel corporations is based on fully exploiting these reserves. But doing so means the earth will max out its climate budget several times over, leading to runaway climate change and all its related impacts. This is one big bet humanity cant afford to lose. Its time to stop the gamble.
