Heres the last 27 seconds of last weeks sunset flight, by some fool in a Penn State cap. As I was 15 seconds from landing the GoProbe, the system switched over to auto landing mode due to the low battery level. Unfortunately, the craft kept drifting towards the ocean, so with a small crowd of folks surrounding me, I ran to catch the GoProbe before it was too late. Keep in mind, I didnt want to sprint along the cliff edge, so I sorta tried to casually trot over to secure it just in time. The group that was with me gave me both a round of applause, as well as a cold beer to enjoy while I powered everything down. I received the obligatory Thomas, dont ever try that again! after I fessed up and shared the video with the wife. Hmmm. Lesson Learned... stay tuned.
