Heres the latest update (and our final one for the night), from the RFS issued at 10.06pm. The alert level for the Hall Road Fire has been downgraded to Watch and Act due to easing weather conditions. Fire continues to burn in the Southern Highlands near the villages of Yerrinbool, Balmoral, Yanderra, Pheasants Nest, Wilton, Bargo, Buxton, Hill Top, Alpine/Aylmerton and Couridjah. Current Situation - Weather conditions have eased in the area and firefighters have contained spot fires. - Picton Road is now open. - A TOTAL FIRE BAN is in force for the Illawarra / Shoalhaven area until further notice. - Hill Top and Yanderra Schools are closed tomorrow.
