Heres the most recent update on baby girl, shes now off her Iv fluid and getting only nutrients from me and what they add when we bottle feed. She eats the maximum shes allowed and is a little pig about it. Shes over her birth weight by 1.1 ounces, which I know doesnt sound like a lot, but to us it is! So shes really doing great! Today theyre going to start slowly turning down her incubator to start seeing how well she does with holding her body temp. So things are looking really good! On a side note, the test results came back on the placenta. There were 4 main things wrong 1. It only weighed 330 grams, which isnt even quiet half of what it should of been 2. The knot in the umbilical cord 3. There were two placenta infarcts (2cm & 1.5 cm) ((an infarction/infarct is tissue death cause by lack of oxygen, due to an obstruction of the tissues blood supply)) and 4. Intervillous Thrombus (2.5cm) which is in basic terms a blood clot. So on top of her having a small space to grow, she had those things taking up space and then the knot. They said they probably wont be able to ever tell me why it happened. But it wasnt my fault, and that she is a miracle, she shouldnt of been able to survive in that or even grow like she did for as long as she did. They are running some test on her urine and blood to see if I may have gotten any type of foreign disease and gave it to her which could result in some of those things, but he said most likely theyll all come back negative. For future pregnancy I will have to go to a specialist and just be monitored more closely. It could happen again or it may just be this one time thing. But either way, Josh and I have our little miracle and we love her more than anything in this world and we know God had his hands around her❤️
