Heres the problem with people who pen insightful op-eds that bash - TopicsExpress

Heres the problem with people who pen insightful op-eds that bash others. Today theyre bashing someone you think is worthy of the negative attention. Tomorrow, theyre bashing someone you have warmer feelings about. Negativity typically isnt about advancing some holy effort. Its about satisfying a need for an ego-boost. And for that reason, I wasnt shocked to find that the article that was posted by a few of my friends yesterday bashing the Breslov movement did not cite a single Torah source (despite the existence of several sources they are on point, but ran contrary to the authors conclusion). I was similarly not surprised the another article by the same putz (this one about the Open Orthodoxy movement) similarly contains no analysis of Jewish sources. It was written by someone who wouldnt know a Gemara if it hit him in the face. Now, Rosh Hashannah is just over 24 hours away. Lets focus, in 5775, on being more loving and less critical, of one another. jewishvoiceny/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6401:open-orthodoxys-real-victims-good-enough-isnt-enough&catid=113:oped&Itemid=296
