Heres the status on Jim James M Seefeldt - he has to have another surgery tomorrow to check that the infection is continuing to clear up. Turns out that Jims incision were open and packed - Jim had no idea. He found out today when the doctor came in and cleaned them out. Hopefully when they go in tomorrow, everything will look good and they will be able to stitch him up. Then he has to have physical therapy so he can go up the steps to get into our house. He will be sent home with IV antibiotics for six weeks, and a nurse will come to see him every day. He will be confined to the first floor of our house and will have to use crutches and/or a walker to get around since he will not be able to put any pressure on his foot for about six weeks. AND..........I think I caught the flu visiting him in the hospital since I feel like absolute crap! I was exhausted and slept ALL day Saturday - that should have been a sign that I was getting sick. As the day went on today I felt progressively worse. Guess I will be calling the doctor tomorrow to see if there is anything they can do.....
