Heres the thing about rejection... When youre being who you think others want you to be, so that you never have to face rejection... youll feel rejected anyway, because deep inside, you know that the person they like is not the real you. Youre rejecting yourself in essence. Theres no point blaming them for your unwillingness to be true to yourself. Youre not being true to them either... When Im around someone who is trying so hard to please me, I cant help but reject them energetically, because I havent a clue who Im dealing with, or what their truth really is... the flow between us becomes sticky. Im instantly aware that I have to watch everything I say or do just in case I somehow offend them - its called walking on eggshells. Its a big burden, one which doesnt allow me to be myself in their company either, because I much prefer straight talk. The way to feel complete acceptance is to be yourself. Those who reject you are not meant to be in your life, and thats perfectly OK. When youre being true to all and are accepted, the feeling of trust between you becomes tangible. Its a beautiful place to be, and the only kind of relationship Id choose - intimate, friendship, colleague, client... you name it. To learn how to deal with this and feel the immense freedom and liberation that comes with losing your fear of rejection, you may just have to be rejected a few times by others... by not rejecting yourself. Go ahead, give it a try... you may actually survive.
