Heres the thing about the BK selling horse meat as beef issue. 1) They LIED - doesnt matter if it started a year and a half ago...THAT is when it came to light NOT a definitive start date for the deception. 2) Horse slaughter is horrific - there is NO such thing as humane horse slaughter. 3) Horse meat is TOXIC - has ANY horse owner EVER had a horse they didnt give bute or dewormer to? 4) No matter who is eating what...a company has a moral and legal obligation to disclose its products contents ACCURATELY. Would a person want to eat crab thinking they are eating pork (in a soup / stew, for example) - suppose said consumer is allergic to shellfish...its gonna end badly for that person with the allergy. If consumer had been aware food item contained shellfish they wouldnt have eaten it. Same principle as swapping horse meat for beef - maybe not an allergy for person eating but they still deserve to know whats in it and then make the choice to consume it or not.
