Heres todays yoga break (better late than never??:) ).... Trying to start a home practice but having a hard time with motivation? Some days its really really tough to get on your mat. Heres a tip to help you keep your commitment to yourself: ---Try getting your yoga in first thing in the morning. Roll your mat out the night before and set a bottle of water beside it. It will be waiting there like a welcome oasis when you wake up. Keep your practice short (15-20 minutes, or even just a few sun salutations), and if you feel like more, do more. Youll not only get your yoga time in, youll go in to the rest of your day with a fresh perspective because you kept your promise to yourself, you cleared your mind and checked in with your body, and you took some time to honor yourself. (You can also ask a like-minded buddy for some help in the accountability department. If youre touching base with each other you can compare notes on how your practice went, celebrate your victories, and encourage each other through rough days.)
